Position Summary
           
 PIPECARE 
Group is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee in-line     inspection projects. By providing technology and service focused solutions to the international     arena of the oil and gas industry, the PipeCare Group of companies has been helping the   customers ensure the integrity of their pipeline and facility assets for over 20 years.

  The general role for Operations Manager includes ILI Contract management in Western   Hemisphere – WH - which involve (but not limited to) the mobilization of the resource to the Oil &   Gas fields, servicing the Oil & Gas pipelines, arranging field surveys and field verifications,   demobilization of equipment upon completion and reporting.
    
  The Operations Manager will lead a project team, executing and controlling the project   budget. He/ She is responsible for P&L of assigned projects and delivering the project in   accordance with the contractual Scope of Work, on time, on budget and achieve customer     satisfaction.

           
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
 
  • Main KPIs: Revenue actuals against target; first ILI run success rate; resource utilization rate, client management, Smart-Pig Technology management, Operational Efficiency and Project Completion rate
  • Contract review, Risk Management and Compliance
  • Planning and coordination of project activities;
  • Ensuring all project related info is entered in ERP
  • Plan and organize internal and external Kick-Off Meetings (KOMs) to align team members and stakeholders on project objectives, timelines, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Place all necessary requests and check with RM on resource
  • Review assigned budget from sales
  • Request site assessment
  • Request RM, TM, Log (supply chain) & DA for their services and agree on dates (Handshake)
  • Request Task to RM (Resource Manager) by coordinating with the Resource Manager to request necessary personnel, equipment, and materials for ILI projects to ensure efficient resource allocation and project execution.
  • Request Task to TM (Technical Manager) by collaborating with the Technical Manager to request technical support, expertise, and equipment calibration for complex inspection tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Request Task to LOG (Logistics Manager) by working with the Logistics Manager to arrange transportation, delivery, and storage of inspection equipment and materials, ensuring smooth logistics operations.
  • Request Task to DA (Data Analyst) by engaging with the Data Analysts to request detailed analysis of inspection data, generate comprehensive reports, and provide insights for maintenance and repair decisions. 
  • Create Purchase Requisitions when required and ensure timely creation and submission of purchase requisitions to secure necessary materials and equipment for ILI projects.
  • Job Safety Analysis through conducting thorough Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to identify potential hazards and implementing safety measures.
  • Run briefing meeting with relevant parties to organize and lead internal stakeholders to discuss project updates, challenges, and action plans.
  • Secure written approvals from customers for project plans and ensure a designated focal point from the customer side is identified before mobilization.
  • Maintain regular communication with field teams to provide support, address issues, and ensure smooth execution of ILI operations.
  • Oversee and ensure the successful execution of field activities, including inspections and data collection. Coordinating with field teams, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to project plans, processes and safety protocols.
  • Oversee and coordinate the safe and efficient demobilization of equipment and personnel after project completion, ensuring all resources are accounted for and returned.
  • Manage and track payment milestones, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing for completed work to maintain cash flow and financial health.
  • Proactively follow up on invoice approvals with clients to ensure prompt payment and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services or products to existing clients, contributing to business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage the timely payment of tool and measurement point (MP) rentals to avoid any disruptions in project operations and maintain good vendor relationships
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for commercial project review meetings, and actively participate in discussing project performance, financials, and strategic planning.

 
 
Skills & Experience
 
  • Proven experience in the oil and gas sector or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracting is essential for managing ILI projects.
  • A valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred to demonstrate expertise in project management preferred
  • Proficiency in general computer skills.
  • Fluency in English, the language of the Territory or Main Country is an advantage.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring clear and consistent information flow.
  • Safety and Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of industry safety standards and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
 
Requirements
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a Related Field.
  • Extensive Experience in ILI Operations with Proven experience in managing In-Line Inspection (ILI) projects, including planning, execution, and data analysis, is preferred
  • Min 5 years’ experience as PM/Contract manager in O&G services business [preferably working for the pipeline operator/owner or 3rd party downstream service business]
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required safety  and quality standards.
  • Business Development Skills: Experience in identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services or products to existing clients, contributing to business growth and client satisfaction.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
