PMO Business Analyst

Position Summary: the general role for PMO Business Analyst is to serve as a critical bridge between business needs and system solutions within the PMO.
PMO Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the digital enablement of PMO processes by analyzing workflows, defining data requirements, and coordinating with the ERP and IT teams to ensure alignment between operational practices and system capabilities.
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
- Analyze and document PMO process requirements for integration into ERP and related systems.
- Serve as the primary liaison between PMO users and ERP/IT teams for enhancements, configurations, and reporting requirements.
- Translate PMO workflows into system logic and digital forms, ensuring traceability and usability.
- Review system-generated reports, dashboards, and trackers for accuracy and alignment with PMO KPIs.
- Gather feedback from PMO users to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate in the development and testing of ERP updates related to project, planning, or financial modules.
- Assist in defining requirements for automation, alerts, and workflow triggers to support stage-gate transitions.
- Support documentation of system configurations, user guides, and process flow maps.
- Help ensure the integrity of master data related to project records, tools, clients, and planning data.
- Monitor implementation and adoption of digital tools and provide support for users' onboarding.
- Follow up regularly with the ERP and IT teams to track progress on PMO-related system updates, issue resolution, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with the PMO Training Specialist to define training needs, create content, and support the rollout of training for new systems and process updates.
- Participate in PMO-wide digital transformation initiatives and contribute to planning the rollout of systems.
- Execute other analysis or coordination tasks as requested by the PMO Director.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or systems implementation roles.
- Experience in project-based industries such as Oil & Gas, EPC, Engineering Services, or Industrial Operations.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and how business rules are configured (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and data tools (Excel, Power BI).
- Familiarity with project lifecycle, planning processes, and stage-gate methodologies.
- Certification in CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, or similar is preferred.
- Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal); proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of PMO procedures and stage-gate governance is an advantage.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
- Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
- Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
