Position Summary: the general role for The Master Planner is to lead the Master Planning & Scheduling for all ongoing projects. The Master Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive, cross-functional project plan that integrates operations, supply chain, tool management, and spare parts availability to ensure seamless execution and on-time delivery of projects. This role requires a high level of coordination with multiple departments and data sources, with an overarching goal of aligning project timelines, resources, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities & Authorities
- Master Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain a master file that consolidates schedules, resources, and timelines for all ongoing projects.
- Ensure alignment with company objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), updating and optimizing the plan based on changing requirements and priorities.
- Identify potential scheduling risks and proactively mitigate them through cross-departmental coordination.
- Cross Department Coordination:
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Operation Directors, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Tool Management, and Coordinators to gather necessary data for project planning.
- Conduct regular alignment meetings to ensure all departments are informed and have the resources they need to meet project deadlines.
- Act as a central communication point for all stakeholders involved in project execution.
- Data Integration & Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data from each department to ensure a fully informed and accurate master schedule.
- Develop and track relevant metrics and reports to support planning and timely execution, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the process.
- Monitor project milestones and resource allocation, maintaining visibility on critical path items to avoid delays.
- Facilitate any required adjustments to project plans based on unforeseen delays, material shortages, or changes in project scope.
- Ensure all project schedules are in alignment with supply chain lead times, tooling availability, and operational capacity.
- Maintain the project cash flow and the planned schedule, and advice management on any discrepancies against planned spend or schedule.
Skills/Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project planning, supply chain, operations, or a similar field, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools.
- Fluent in English and Arabic communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with a talent for strategic planning and execution.
- Experience in managing, mentoring and directing team members
- Excellent reporting and project management skills.
- Knowledge of ERP management system.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
- Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
- Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
