Global Store & Inventory Manager

Due to our global focus and international growth, Pipecare is seeking experienced Global Store & Inventory Manager to support our continued growth.
Industry/sector: Oil & Gas / In Line Inspection services.
Requirements: Global Store and Inventory Manager is to lead and oversee our inventory operations across multiple locations. This role is crucial in managing company’s overall inventory store setup, optimizing inventory utilization, ensuring material movement efficiency, and supporting new store locations resulting from operational expansion. This role will play a pivotal role in achieving inventory accuracy, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Responsibilities include:
Inventory and Store Management:
- Oversee and optimize inventory accuracy across all locations, including newly initiated sub-stores.
- Implement robust stock control mechanisms to prevent discrepancies and operational disruptions.
- Develop and enforce best practices for warehouse and inventory processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Manage stock reconciliation processes and ensure timely adjustments.
- Implement and oversee structured obsolescence management plans to maximize inventory utilization and minimize waste.
- Drive inventory minimization strategies while maintaining operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulatory requirements in all inventory operations.
- Develop and implement standardized inventory management policies, procedures, and best practices across global locations.
- Introduce and oversee digital tools and systems for real-time tracking of inventory.
- Optimize material movements to enhance storage efficiency and reduce holding costs.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions for procurement, storage, and distribution.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to inventory control processes and accuracy in stock records.
- Manage and develop the store and inventory team to enhance their performance and skill set.
- Train and mentor staff to ensure adherence to inventory management best practices.
- Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Operations, and Finance, to optimize inventory performance.
Qualified Candidates will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 7 years experience in Store & Inventory management, preferably in the Oil & Gas or industrial sector.
- Strong expertise in supply chain operations, warehouse management, and inventory control.
- Experience in managing, mentoring and directing team members.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive operational improvements.
- Excellent reporting and Project Management skills
- Advances skills in Inventory management system
- Knowledge of local and international supply chain regulations and best practices.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
- Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
- Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
