Senior Treasury & Accounts Payable

Sharjah, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Experienced
PIPECARE Group is one of the leading in-line inspection companies worldwide with over 25 years of experience providing in-line inspection.

PipeCare Group is looking for an experienced Senior Treasury & Accounts Payable and this role owns the Group’s treasury operations and its payment execution. The holder runs cash, funding, banking, guarantees and payments across all entities and is expected to command that function competently and independently from the outset.
From day one the holder owns the banking relationships and approves guarantees within a delegated authority. As the function matures, the role expands further into the strategic treasury work, facility negotiation, deposit strategy and treasury policy, working with the CFO and progressively taking ownership. It suits an established treasury professional ready to lead a group treasury function and grow into Treasury Manager, not someone learning the fundamentals.

Core responsibilities
Treasury operations
Cash and forecasting. Maintain a clear, current view of cash and overdraft positions across the Group’s entities and banks and prepare the rolling cash forecast.
Funding. Arrange funds so each entity meets its obligations on time, moving money between accounts as needed.
Bank records. Own the bank account register and keep mandates, signatories and records accurate and current.
Deposits. Execute fixed-deposit placements, track maturities and keep the deposit schedule current.
Bank guarantees. Act as Guarantee Coordinator: log every request, run the pre-submission checks, submit them to the bank, chase to issuance and keep the guarantee register current including expiries and releases.
Guarantee approvals. Approve guarantees within a delegated authority set by the CFO, escalating larger or unusual cases in line with the Group guarantee procedure.
Banking relationships. Act as the Group’s principal day-to-day contact with its banks, managing the operational relationship and coordinating with the CFO on matters of strategy.
Accounts payable and payment execution
Payment execution. Execute approved payments accurately and on time within the Group’s approval framework.
Supplier payments. Manage the payment side of the supplier relationship.
Reconciliation. Keep the ERP accurate and reconciled for all cash and payment activity.
Expanding scope
The role is expected to take growing ownership of these areas, in partnership with the CFO and then increasingly independently:
Facility negotiation, structuring and pricing of the Group’s bank facilities.
Deposit and investment strategy, shaping how the Group’s surplus cash is placed.
Treasury policy and controls, helping build the framework as the function matures.

Requirements and Qualification
Education. Degree in finance, accounting or commerce. A professional qualification, or progress toward one such as CTP, ACCA, CMA or CA, is a strong advantage.
Experience. At least 8 to 10 years in treasury, in a multi-entity or multi-country group, with a demonstrated record of running treasury operations, not supporting them.
Treasury depth. Strong command of cash management, bank account administration, fixed deposits, and bank guarantees or trade finance. Direct experience of facility and rate negotiation and of managing banking relationships is expected.
Accounts payable. Confident owning payment calendars, payment runs and ERP reconciliation, and comfortable holding the payment function to a disciplined standard.
Systems. Strong ERP and Excel skills. Experience of banking portals and automated payment systems is an advantage.
Leadership readiness. Ready to lead a group treasury function and to grow into Treasury Manager as the function and team expand.
Accurate and disciplined, with the judgement to get details and timing right every time.
Trustworthy with money and mandates, and comfortable operating within a clear approval framework.
Organized and calm under deadline pressure across many entities and currencies.
Clear and professional in English, with banks and suppliers alike.
Proactive and commercially sharp, the kind of person who sees an issue coming and brings the CFO the solution, not just the problem.
