Field Technician Level 2 - ILI Inspection -Mexico
The general role for the Field Technician is to ensure the proper execution of field work and coordination of the field activities.
Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities:
- Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other relevant reports.
- Discuss equipment and tools requirements including auxiliaries, AGM's, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares, toolbox, and all other required tools for use in the field, etc.
- Study and analyze project information document, operation manuals, pigging procedures, and other project-related documents.
- Establish professional contact with client’s field personnel creating friendly working relations.
- Execute field work in a safe, effective, and efficient manner in accordance with PIPECARE QA/QC procedures and in line with time, resource, and financial planning.
- Coordinate field activities between PIPECARE team, subcontractor, client, and other involved parties
- Perform ILI runs successfully without data loss as per API standard.
- Conduct sufficient cleaning runs to the established PIPECARE cleaning criteria.
- Conduct site survey and DGPs Survey in line with PIPECARE procedures and operational requirement
- Execute all other tasks as requested by Team Leader within the assigned job role.
- Tool preparations and checks before runs
- Ability to work unsupervised and independently
- Excellent customer interfacing skills and communication
Accountability:
- Timely Project execution within the assigned job role.
- Perform and complete the job successfully.
- Submission of daily reports.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and machinery.
- Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
- Good social skills with the ability to communicate clearly
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- MFL, Caliper data management, and internal proprietary software training
Skills/Experience:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or relevant) or 5+ years of ILI tool launching and Receiving.
- 5 Experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure.
- Computer skills in Microsoft word, excel and outlook at an intermediate level.
- Fluency in English, the language of the Territory is an advantage.
- Ability to travel extensively, at least 70%
